On the campaign map, the Lizardmen are probably the least interesting of the four: maintaining the sprawling Geomantic Web that powers their highly powerful province edicts forces you to play wide, even while your major objectives contradictingly encourage you to circle the wagons and defend the core of your empire. Their mid- and high-tier units present interesting tactical considerations in each battle in the question of where and when to commit to the melee, since they’re prone to going into a rampage state and deciding they don’t need your stupid orders once they’re in the thick of it. The enigmatic Lizardmen (whom I’ve spent the most time with) have access to a combination of rampaging dinosaurs and highly potent magic to the field. I recommend also making some back-up saves from time to time.Those factions are the headliners of this battle royale: four extremely distinct and fun to command armies that bring new ideas to the campaign and the real-time battles. Wood Elves can't confederate other WE faction in co-op, notably, that makes their start much shittier. Note also some achievements are bugged in multiplayer (especially for Beastmen and horde factions). Nakai, Arkhan, couple othersĬo-op ME you can play any combination of factions, nothing special there, just to do the objectives or paint the map.

I don't think progress (number of rituals complete) is shared either, so basically designate one person to actually progress and the other person can feed them additional resources when you feel like it. Your plaques are not shared between partners, but you can transfer them to the other. Before you can do those rituals, you need a certain amount of resources (plaques, for the lizardmen).

    One thing to keep in mind for overall campaign goals (I'll use the lizardmen as an example because they're what I know): to win the campaign, you need to complete a series of rituals. You can use diplomacy to transfer gold + resources between the two of you. You can't gift units on the campaign map, however. As mentioned in the other comment, if only one army is involved, the commander of that army can (temporarily, for that battle) gift units to the other person. So you can be (for example) two Lizardmen factions, or two Skaven factions, but not one Lizardmen faction and one Skaven faction. One thing to keep in mind is that in Warhammer 2 co-op, the two factions you control both have to be part of the same race.
